Bits and pieces of
information we find interesting
Could the Watchtower Bible and Tract
Society be getting ready to set yet another date for the end of the world? Read
this quote, it sounds like they are hinting at 2034 as a new end of the world
date.

Article: Our Watchfulness Takes On Greater Urgency
Subheading: Warned of “Things Not Yet Beheld”
Paragraphs 6 and 7:
In Noah’s day, Jehovah declared: “My spirit shall not act toward man
indefinitely in that he is also flesh. Accordingly his days shall amount to a
hundred and twenty years.” (Genesis 6:3)
The issuance of this divine decree in 2490 B.C.E. marked the beginning of the
end for that ungodly world. Just think what that meant for those then living!
Only 120 years more and Jehovah would bring “the deluge of waters upon
the earth to bring to ruin all flesh in which the force of life is active from
under the heavens.” - Genesis 6:17.
Noah received the warning of the
upcoming catastrophe decades in advance, and he wisely used the time to
prepare for survival. “After being given divine warning of things not yet
beheld.” Says the apostle Paul, “[Noah] showed godly fear and constructed an ark
for the salvation of his household.” (Hebrews 11:7)
What about us? Some 90 years have passed since the last days of this system of
things began in 1914. We are certainly in “the time of the end.” (Daniel
12:4) How should we respond to warnings we have been given? “He that does the
will of God remains forever,” states the Bible. (1 John 2:17)
Now is therefore the time to do
Jehovah’s will with a keen sense of urgency.
Paragraph 9:
Jehovah has kept these warnings in front of his people by means of timely
reminders through the spiritual food provided by “the faithful and discrete
slave.” …
Paragraph 21:
Although the Flood seems remote from our
day, it clearly provides a warning that we must not ignore….

Recent
Watchtower Numbers
The January 1, 2003
Watchtower claimed a 2.8% increase worldwide. But, how can they be increasing
when so many are leaving? Many who are currently leaving do not inform the
congregation, so they can maintain their relationships with family and friends.
Many congregations still count such ones so they will look good to the Circuit
Overseers.
Also, the Watchtower
Society is known to "pad" their numbers, such as they did in Sweden to get more
tax money from the government.
They claim to have
baptized 265,469 people, with much of their growth being in third-world
countries. However, they only increased 166,824. So, about 100,000 either
officially left or died, even by their numbers.
Also interesting is
that in the year 2000, the number of so-called "anointed" was 8,661. In 2001 it
was 8,730. In 2002 it was 8,760. Instead of dying off, they are increasing. Lots
of "new-anointed" showing up, but the Watchtower says that those are people with
mental and emotional problems.
We need to keep in mind that the Watchtower Society has always made a big deal
about numbers. We don't want to get caught up in their insane approach to God's
work of salvation. Everyone is in the hands of the Lord and the Watchtower and
Mormon Church can gather all they want, and at the right time, His time, our
Lord will call His elect out of there and to Him.

SALVATION;
WATCHTOWER STYLE
In the February 15, 1983 Watchtower we are told that there
are four requirements for salvation:
1. "take in
knowledge."
2. "obey God's
laws."
3. "be associated
with God's Channel, his organization."
4. "loyally
advocating his kingdom rule to others."
Last week at a JW Circuit
assembly, Ted Jaracz, the most influential man at the Watchtower headquarters,
stated these four things are "required for life":
1. Prayer; but not to
Jesus
2. Read the Bible (This
really means reading Watchtower literature)
3. WORKS! specifically the
preaching work.
4. Be associated with
Jehovah's Witnesses (None of this agrees with Acts 2!
Does this man even read
the Watchtower? Basically, he got two out of four.
Whether you take the
Watchtower list or Ted Jaracz list, what is of profound significance is the fact
that neither make any mention of Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit, God's grace, or
believing in Jesus Christ.
Someone should make a
movie, "CLUELESS IN BROOKLYN."
