John 14:14 and Word Omissions

The exact Greek word-for-word rendering in the Kingdom Interlinear Translation for this verse is:
"if ever anything YOU should ask me in the name of me this I shall do".

 According to this Greek text, the Lord Jesus taught his disciples to pray to himself. In contrast to the Greek, the New World Translation inaccurately reads:
"If YOU ask anything in my name, I will do it".

Though it is clear that the Lord Jesus taught his disciples that they could pray to himself, this truth is concealed in the New World Translation by omitting the word me.
